Peak District Canoeing

Discover, explore or expand your canoeing experiences with us.
From our base in the south of the Peak District, Derbyshire we have easy access to 3 fantastic canoeing locations.
Cromford Canal is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and also home to a local wildlife reserve. The location is famed for it's Water Voles and rare water birds. A super location for an introductory canoeing session on very clean water.
We also enjoy a large expanse of open water at nearby Carsington. This location is ideal for developing skills, practicing manoeuvres and gaining confidence within the relative security of a designated safe bay area.

If a river journey floats your boat, we have the perfect location with a cruise down the River Derwent. The Derwent is an ideal introduction to moving water. The journey is dramatic in places, passing under the sheer limestone cliff faces in Matlock and requiring skilful attention on a few sections of bumpy rapids along the way.
