Is It For Me?

Abseiling was originally used as an improvised mountaineering technique for safeguarding sections of steep ground. Today abseiling remains an essential skill used by cavers, mountaineers and rock climbers for either exploration, continuation of a journey or accessing areas of relative safety.

Abseiling is the classic high adrenaline, high thrill experience. It is understandably very popular with our groups for these reasons.
We use a variety of suitable locations including disused railway viaducts and abandoned quarries to minimise impact on locations used for rock climbing.

Abseiling is a great compliment to any of our other activities and can be easily set up as part of a full day climbing, as a training element to a caving day or as part of a multi day adventure journey.

Design your own! Build your own!

If you’re planning a break / holiday to the Peak District with family or friends and you’d like to try a combination of new activities, we’ll be glad to showcase the best locations and the most suitable choices for the time of year and even keep plans flexible around weather. We can arrange 2 really solid activity sessions per day of around 3 hours per session.

Trying 4 different sessions over a weekend is very familiar and does not compromise the quality of experience.
